Review: S Box Sukhumvit Hotel

by Sonja Faul

This lovely little boutique hotel is located in the Sukhumvit neighbourhood of Bangkok, close to public transport. S Box Sukhumvit Hotel is only 50 m from the Sukhumvit Main Road lined with shops and street food vendors, and just over 500 m from the Phrom Phong Sky Train Station that connects you to the rest of the city.

When I arrived

Despite arriving very late at night, check in was easy and quickly and the receptionist on duty was friendly and helpful.

I stayed in a single capsule room. The hotel room is tiny, only 7 m2, but so comfortable with everything you need for a pleasant stay.

The room has a single bed, a small ensuite private bathroom with a rain shower, wash basin and a toilet.

The cozy room is fitted with a TV, a digital safety box, tea and coffee making facilities and a workspace (desk and chair).

Breakfast is served in a mini breakfast bar located next to reception. The café is small but there is enough space to accommodate everybody.

A mini breakfast is included in the capsule room rate and includes juices, tea, and coffee, fruit, boiled eggs, a build your own salad or hot dog bar and a great selection of pastries.

Complimentary WiFi is available throughout the hotel.

24 H reception and concierge service

Daily room cleaning and free luggage storage is also available.

Free toiletries are included in your stay.

Staff members

The staff members of the S Box Sukhumvit Hotel are friendly and helpful, ready to hand out maps of Bangkok with directions to all the tourist attractions.

What I didn’t like:

I liked everything! One small thing, though, the internet connection dropped a couple of times.

What I liked best:

Everything about S Box Sukhumvit Hotel is mini, but they are big on comfort and service.

The mini breakfast bar was great.

The free toiletries were amazing.

Would I stay here again?

For sure, I loved everything about this hotel. Everything is tiny but very modern, coupled with excellent service. The teddy bear in the room was a great touch. Something to snuggle while you sleep.
