Ao Nang Viva Resort is located right in the middle between two beaches, approximately 1.2 km from both Ao Nang and Nopparat Thara beach. The resort is built around a beautiful courtyard and swimming pool.
When I arrived
Upon arrival, I was welcomed with a glass of fruit juice followed by a cold, refreshing towel. Check in was easy and hassle free.
Rooms
I stayed in a superior room on the third floor with a balcony overlooking the street below. The room is simple yet modern, with a comfortable bed, a small desk and two chairs, a TV, tea and coffee making facilities, a mini fridge and a wardrobe. Inside the mini fridge is complimentary water bottles that is replaced every day.
The ensuite bathroom is small with a shower, a toilet and a wash basin. Complimentary toiletries are included in your stay. There are two central dispensers in the shower, one for body wash and one for shampoo.
Block out curtains keep the sun out and the room cool.
The room also has air conditioning, which is essential for survival in the humid June weather.
Breakfast
When you check in, you receive coupons for breakfast. Keep them safe!
A breakfast buffet is served every morning from 07h00 until 10h30 in the Viva Restaurant. The buffet consists of a juice bar serving a selection of juices and also tea and coffee. There is an egg station that serves eggs done in every way: omelette, scrambled or fried eggs. A salad bar where you can build your own salad. Hot food, as well as a selection of cereals and pastries. The restaurant also serves a couple of Thai dishes for breakfast. The buffet varies a little bit every morning.

What I didn’t like:
My stay at Ao Nang Viva Resort was very comfortable, I cannot find fault.
One small thing. It can get a little bit noisy in the mornings.
What I liked best:
The location of the resort is great, within walking distance from two beaches and surrounded by restaurants, a 7 eleven and a Family Mart. Also, across the resort is a massage parlour with very affordable prices (200 THB per hour for a full body massage or 200 THB per hour for a foot massage).
The friendly and helpful staff and the great service.
Would I stay here again?
Yes. If you are looking for a comfortable mid-range hotel in Ao Nang, look no further.
